Karina Spătaru Toma is an award-winning illustrator, concept artist, photorealist portrait artist, and experienced art instructor. Her work has been recognized with a Certificate of Excellence from the Portrait Society of America at the International Portrait Competition, 1st Place at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center’s 76th Members’ Show, and 1st Place at the Blue Stone Festival Art Show. Since 2022, she has taught drawing, painting, and digital art to students of all ages throughout art centers across the metro Atlanta area.

 

After earning her BFA from Kennesaw State University in 2024, she began pursuing her long-held dream of working as an illustrator and concept artist for video games and animation. In the meantime, Karina is currently working on a passion project called Lovage, which is a cozy cooking game about exploring other cultures and learning new recipes.
